STUNNING, SWEET, & SOFT Rare Green eyed Flame Point 6 year old male “GRINGO” URGENTLY NEEDS TO BE ADOPTED ‼️ PLEASE HELP SHARE HIM. Full gallery of pics below

Gringo has waited his entire life for a comfortable loving forever home and today is the closest he’s come. Scroll down for more info and photos. Please share this page.

ISO:

Gringo is highly social and a protector of his friends. Cat experience needed. A couple or single person would be ideal. Gringo is currently a mostly indoor cat and only outdoor a small amount of time by default. He was an outdoor cat for 5 years at this building so I have worked up to transition him and he has his lifelong friends here. Someone living in a neighborhood with a good small localized area for him to go out twice a day would be ideal. If he were transitioned to an indoor kitty a kitty mate might be nice but strict cat/dog introduction instructions from animal experts must be adhered to or it won’t work. Come meet Gringo in person!

HEALTH:

Gringo is beautifully healthy!! He has had full vaccines and been de-wormed.

DIET:

Gringo eats mostly dry food & filtered watered. Right now I am mixing Orijen Fit & trim. I switched to the Fit & trim from Origin’s regular when he gained a bit of weight (especially when I was on a trip). For treats I give him “Lil Soups”, “Chiru’s” in tuna variety and one weekly add some “Applaws'“ canned in the tuna variety. You’ll also get all his food, litter, & new cute glass bowl set.

CURRENT LOCATION:

GRINGO urgently needs a forever home. He is currently living in HOLLYWOOD, CA where he is a mostly indoor but partly outdoor cat (He was living outdoors in this building area since he was a kitten). He enjoys playing outdoors with his current kitty friends. GRINGO naturally stays in a 3 home radius (This building, the one to the left and right) and never goes near the street. He is microchipped and vaccinated. I rescued him and brought him indoors training him as an indoor cat but I can’t continue to care for him and no one else here can unfortunately. It is now urgent as my injured & torn shoulder is excruciatingly getting worse and I’m also allergic. I don’t want him to go to a shelter after all he’s already been through. He is such a beauty and when you see him you will realize he looks like he should be in a fancy home being spoiled rotten with love & cuddles. He is a very special cat and breed. I’m sadly not a match and never planned to care for him more than a month. He’s looking for his loving match.

Breed:

He seems to be a Flame Point (A LARGE REGAL Half Siamese and Half Tabby, GORGEOUS BREED), with very rare green eyes. Possibly a Turkish Van but doubtful. Both breeds are rare. You can get a cat DNA test.

Description:

APPROX 5.5 year old Male white cat with ginger markings on head and striped tail. Those rare Green Eyes. A prominent circular ginger spot on his right front paw gives him away. Gringo is the sweetest in nature and has the softest Thick fur. He loves to cuddle and brush time.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

The most amazing bond and loyal loving cat who is eager to please! He will go through a short adjustment period and be extra vocal like any cat so just give him extra love during that time. You’ll find ear plugs handy. I use Mack ear plugs the wax ones. He would need to be kept indoors with the windows closed for a minimum of 10 days while he gets used to your home if you plan to let him out. He will know where to come for food. Just let the neighbors know and if you keep his collar on they’ll know he has a home and someone feeding him. He is super trainable and it shocks me how much he understands when you ask him simple questions. He loves his cat house/ tree which you’ll also get and is in brand new shape. He loves to curl in a ball and cozy up in my lap like a sweet baby. A house with A/C is essential for this thick coated beauty. He is a bit of an early riser about 6 and will go back to sleep and wait for his food until 8 am. I work long hours and go to sleep late. Someone on an earlier schedule would be a good fit!

MORE INFO:

I have adored Gringo since the first day I met him in my driveway as a kitten. We instantly bonded. I wish I could keep him but I am healing from some injuries and am starting a new business and it is for other reasons as well it’s just not going to work for me. You have to have a lot of patience when adapting a cat to a new home. Check out the 3 3 3 rule.

I have two litter boxes, one upstairs and one downstairs, cat tree, toys, blankets, carrier and I am happy to donate all the goods I have.

MORE OF HIS STORY & PICS BELOW. Please contact me at this site to inquire and tell me why you might make a good forever home and parent for Gringo. To Contribute to Gringo’s expenses you can venmo me at @jeanne-rice-2 or you can help contribute at our registry.

Best to you and thanks for your interest and goodwill in helping Gringo and myself!

ABOUT GRINGO

Gringo was abandoned by his original owner and found a home as a kitten under my car. I was so excited to have a kitten around as was my little shihtzu Liv who loved cats. Gringo was a bit timid as were the other cats at our small building and there were a few. Gringo just wanted to hang with his cat buddy’s. No one ever came to claim Gringo or feed him or take him back so a women in my complex started to feed him and care for him. She asked the owner to come and get him and he came with a backpack and threw his arms up when he had a feeble attempt and it didn’t work to get Gringo. He just left him without care. She cared for his his sores, fleas, cleaned him but he still ate and lived outside as you can see in the old photos. Gringo started to warm up to everyone including my Shihtzu Liv to her excitement and they would lay together in the parking lot for a short afternoon hang. Liv got ill and passed and my neighbors Aunt was passing and she had other cats to take care of as well so she really wanted to find Gringo a good solid forever home. Gringo loved Liv’s pink blanket with her smell so that’s how this boy ended up with a pink blanket not that we ever have to justify that these days.

We found a great beautiful home for Gringo in Glendale in the Montrose area and the first night he escaped through an open window. He was in a strange neighborhood with mountain lions and far more Coyotes with no one to feed him and give him shelter. If we knew this we of course never would have let this happen to our dear Gringo. We were CRUSHED. I wanted to bring Gringo back to the home he knew and loved with his Kitty friends. He has had so much trauma at only 5 years old. After a long exhaustive search with posters, social media, on citizen app, and sending flyers to every resident in a building where he was spotted he was finally found! A woman came forward with information about a 90 year old neighbor that was feeding Gringo along with her senior sister-in-law across the street. With that info and a cat trapper from LA Kitten rescue I finally brought Gringo back to his home and friends. However, I was never physically, or in many other ways prepared to care for him myself.

If you know of the perfect loving home for Gringo please let me know because I have had him far longer then intended and spent much money in the only life savings/ retirement fund I have getting him over his temporary ailments he returned home with. He now has a clean bill of health and is ready to move to a permanent loving home for the first time in his entire life! He has been here far longer than expected. If you can help in anyway, are interested or can share please do. He is fully micro-chipped and vaccinated now and ready to go to the right loving hom.

Thank you so much!
